About the Quartet
.
Now in its 20th season, the Salieri String Quartet continues to expand
its upbeat, eclectic repertoire. Salieri's programs range from Bach to
Bernstein to bluegrass, often with its own commissioned arrangements and
compositions.
.
The ensemble originally formed as the feature quartet for the Alaska
Festival of the North Chamber Music Festival in 1984 and continues a full
schedule of public concerts , private receptions., and commercial
recordings.
.
Performances include community concerts in the San Juan Islands, various
King County Touring Arts performances, the University of Washington, the
Bellevue Downtown Association Concert Series, the KING FM series at the
Seattle Center, the Frye Art Museum, the Seattle Art Museum, The Seattle
Downtown Out to Lunch series, The Redmond Community Concerts, The Lynnwood
Parks Concerts, as well as private receptions hosted by organizations such
as Microsoft, the Seattle Yacht Club, the Nordstrom Medical Center, the
University of Washington Faculty Club, the Boeing Company, Aldus
Corporation, and the American Institute of Architects.

Other
representative appearances include the Disney Channel, KING FM Broadcasting,
the Benaroya Hall Seattle Symphony Inaugural Ball, and the Seattle Film
Festival.

The members of the quartet are well
known Seattle musicians who are active in recording, chamber music,
symphonic, and stage performances throughout the Northwest. The four
musicians are represented in various professional groups , including the
Pacific Northwest Ballet Orchestra, the Fifth Avenue Theater, the Paramount
Theater, the Yakima Symphony, Northwest Symphonieta, Pro Musica, the Bottom
Line Duo, and touring shows such as Linda Ronstadt, Natalie Cole, Kenny G,
Ray Charles, and Rod Stewart.
